Parent Participation Network - In it together

We need you

Parents and carers of children and young people under 25 with a disability or additional need living in Northumberland

You Can Make a Difference

Join our group and make your voices heard.
We are a group of parents and carers of children and young people with a wide range of disabilities and special needs who come together regularly to informally express our views and opinions on the type of services our families need in Northumberland.

In It Together, our parent-led group works closely with service providers to develop and maintain accessible, high quality services for all children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, working towards a positive future for all.  We are looking to expand our group members throughout the County to ensure as many families as possible can be represented in shaping the future and the services our children and our families receive - and its a great way to make new friends!

It is up to you how much you would like to be involved.  You may just want to receive information, attend locality meetings, come to conferences or join a working group.
We have locality meetings at the moment covering West, North, South East and Central.  At these meetings, you can:

  • Find out more about what is going on in your area of Northumberland.
  • Discuss issues with other parents/carers to help shape provision that is most useful to our children, young people and families.
  • Work in partnership with local service providers in health, education and social care to ensure our collective voice is heard in helping shape local and national priorities for our families.

It's a great opportunity to make new friends and share experiences with people who understand the challenges we face.
If you are a parent/carer of a child or young person aged under 25 living in Northumberland you are welcome to join us.  Please email your details to info@in-it-together.org.uk and someone will get back to you.
