Rothbury & Coquetdale Youth Project

We provide various services and opportunities for young people aged 13 - 21 years who live in the Rothbury and Upper Coquetdale Area. Full time worker in place to work with young people at any other times during the week and weekends.

We provide advice, information, youthwork and 1:1 support.

Regular Activities:

  • Activity name: Youth 'Drop-In' and Youth Club
    Activity Venue: Jubilee Hall (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) and Dr Thomlinson C of E Middle School (Wednesday)
    Activity Times: Monday: 6.30pm - 9pm. Wednesday: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
    Thursday: 6.30pm - 9pm. Saturday: 10am - 12 noon.
    Activity Details: Aims:
    - to provide a safe, friendly and relaxed environment, supervised by qualified Youth Workers, where young people can informally meet regardless of class, gender, race or any disability.
    - to provide advice, information and support about issues that are important to young people so that they can make informed choices about their future.
    - to provide opportunities/activities that are challenging, fun and educative which help young people develop into positive members of the community in the transition to adulthood.
  • Also provide other services for young people with no set timetable at various times throughout the year. Other services include:
    - Youth Information Service
    - Individual advice and guidance for young people
    - C-Card Scheme
    - Focus group work with young people
    - Trips away, challenging and positive activities
    - Residential opportunities
    - Cultural and informal education experiences and opportunities
