Mrs Jayne Muir (Acres of Fun Childminding)
It is important to me that both you and your child feel welcome in my home and comfortable in my childminding family. I aim to work with you to make sure your child is happy and I am happy to follow your child's routine where possible. I offer a fun and stimulating home environment for your child to grow and learn. I enjoy encouraging the children to participate in a variety of crafts and cooking and very much enjoy using the outdoors to play and learn. I'm in the process of making my large garden the main area for learning so we can be outside most weathers and this is proving very popular with the children I am currently minding. I love my job as every day is different! I currently open 7.30am - 6pm to allow me some family time with my own children. Hours can be negotiated and should you require hours past 6pm then please ask. Extracts from my recent Ofsted report: The overall effectiveness of the early years provision Overall the quality of the provision is good. The childminder demonstrates a very caring and supportive relationship towards the minded children and their families. She has a very good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and plans activities in line with the areas of learning. Systems to observe and assess the children are still in their infancy, however, the childminder's clear knowledge of how children develop, support children well in their overall development. The secure relationships formed with parents are good, which enables information to be effectively shared. I am now approved to deliver the Free Entitlement for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

Acres of Fun Childminding
Mission StatementHere at Acres of Fun Childminding I aim to provide a high quality home-from-
home childcare experience for children from birth to 5 years old, and before
and after school (plus holiday care) for children between 5 and 12 years.
My aim is to provide an enriching educational environment for young children and
their parents. One that fosters a love of learning, awareness of self and others,
and a sense of accomplishment built on a child's natural curiosity.
I will enable children to become independent learners by
Giving children time to reflect, practice and learn with no sense of failure
Encouraging children to develop a positive attitude towards themselves and
others, with a strong sense of self-respect.
I believe strongly in learning through play and will
Build on children’s personal interests and their stage of development. I will
encourage them to reach their true potential in all areas of learning.
Invite parents and carers to work in partnership while helping their children
develop their enthusiasm for learning and celebrating their achievements
Help children to develop a sense of respect for other people’s property, ideas
and beliefs irrespective of gender, race, disability or academic achievement
Respond to the needs of the children and families who live in the local
community
I Work within a framework which enables inclusion for all children and
families and promote a culture of listening by
Observing and learning from what children say and do
Striving to understand the view point of the other person
Respecting the experiences of others
Creating a shared dialogue and learning from one another
Being an open and willing learner – a reflective practitioner- Contact Name
