Branton Community Primary School
Term time
Branton Community Primary School serves a wide area, including the Breamish Valley, Eglingham, Beanley and Powburn.
We have a nursery, Breamish Valley Community Nursery, running alongside our school admitting children from 2 years of age, offering a dedicated 2 year old session on a Wednesday afternoon although if your child is ready we can offere other sessions during the week. Please ask for more information. We then have a nursery admitting children as rising 3s (the term in which a child turns 3) for socialisation and then as funded nursery pupils from the term after a child's third birthday.
We also offfer up to 10 sessions or 30 hours per week either for children who are eligible for the new additional funding or for parents wishing to take additional paid for sessions.
Children then join our reception class in our Primary School in the September after their fourth birthday.
In September 2016 we became a Primary School increasing our age range from 2 to 11 years of age.
We enjoy fantastic access to the outdoors with a wonderful school field, wildlife area and developing Forest School. We have access directly onto Branton Ponds, a nature reserve with a huge variety of different birds and rich in wildlife.
Our staffing ratio is excellent, better than 1:5 in most instances. We also have two level 3 Forest School Leaders on our school team.
Please contact us and arrange a visit to school to see what we can offer!
