I live in a large semi-detached house which has a large rear enclosed garden where children can explore the outdoor environment. I take the opportunity to build children's confidence by taking them to the local park, toddler groups and the library. I meet with other childminders at our local drop in centre where children have the opportunity to make carfts, sing and dance. We attend Alnwick gardens and have picnics and water play.  We also in good weather visit the beach. I regularly attend local network meetings to develop my knowledge and understanding of childcare. I provide an inclusive environment where all children are valued and have their individual needs met. I encourage children to develop positive attitudes to difference and diversity from the positive role modelling provided by myself. I have a very good capacity to improve my service that I provide as I regularly evaluate my practice.
